Rebecca Lynch
Social Worker
Having completed a Bachelor of Social Work at La Trobe University in 2005, Rebecca has worked in front line mental health settings for nearly 17 years. She commenced with Victoria Police in the Police Psychology Unit in 2017 and transferred to Police Veterans Victoria in March 2020. Working with Police members has underpinned Rebecca's career, including the Magistrates’ Court, Office of Public Prosecutions, the prison system and Child Protection, both in Melbourne and the United Kingdom. Building a good rapport with veterans to ensure they feel listened to and understood is something Rebecca values, as this ensures a tailored and effective support plan.

Carla Deale
Digital Communications & Marketing Manager
Carla is PVV’s resident wordsmith and Marketing & Communications Manager, with a background in Journalism and Professional Writing and Editing. She has a wealth of experience across finance, sport, health and wellness, is award-nominated in Journalism and published across multiple media and literary journals. Carla also has former tertiary experience in Counselling.

Anna Black
Finance Manager
Anna is an experienced and knowledgeable Finance Manager that has been involved in the not-for-profit sector for the past 20 years. Anna started her career as a Systems/Shopping Centre Accountant for Coles Myer and then later moved to the position of Analyst Planner in the Myer Miss Shop. After a brief break to start a family, Anna returned to part-time finance roles for numerous charity organisations including the Alannah & Madeline Foundation, the Sisters of the Good Shepherd, Kids First Australia (formerly Children’s Protection Society), the TPI Association of Victoria and AQA Victoria.

Jim Hilliard
Administration (Volunteer)
Jim is a 12 year veteran of Victoria Police and is a qualified VPSO. Jim now works in the financial crime space with the Big 4. Jim is providing administrative and website assistance in a volunteer capacity as well as being an active VPSO.

Andrew Atkinson
Get Social Co-ordinator
After growing up in western Victoria. Andrew joined Victoria Police in 1991, graduating in August of that year. After 9 years in general duties, at both regional and metropolitan work units, Andrew found his niche in technical surveillance. He spent 16 of his 28 year career working at the Technical Surveillance Unit at various ranks.
During Andrew’s career, he undertook a number of international secondments with United Nations to East Timor and Iraq and was the recipient of several scholarships, traveling abroad to research surveillance technologies. In addition, Andrew undertook personnel development opportunities including completion of a Bachelor of Public Safety, a Bachelor of Counter Terrorism and a Bachelor of Research (Honors). Retiring due to Ill health in 2018, as Detective Inspector, Surveillance Services Division.
