Junior Police Trainees & Police Cadets

The 2023 annual Reunion of Former Junior Police Trainees and Former Police Cadets will again be held on its traditional date which is the last Friday in August.

Which means this year it is:-

12 midday Friday 25^th August  2023

Venue – meet at the Jackpot Bar inside Crown Casino.

It is an informal gathering where we meet at the Jackpot Bar for a few drinks then head off to the Kitchen Workshop inside Crown for  a smorgasbord lunch.

That is what is happening again this year.

History of this Annual JPT & Cadet Reunion. Over the past 25 years or so it has been customary for a few former Junior Police Trainees and former Police Cadets to meet at the Jackpot bar at Crown Casino at midday on the last Friday in August. An informal catch up with a few drinks, a bit of lunch and then some, of course, kick on.   We want to keep that formula going.

Bill Horman JPT 41 ex 13273 and the late Lionel Allemand JPT 187 ex 14182 were the driving force behind this annual event.  With the unfortunate passing of Lionel, Neil Aubert Cdt 1193 ex 17660 and I have taken on helping Bill with the organization.

With seemingly renewed interest in Cadets (with the cadet Facebook page) and with the Police Veterans Victoria Website, we feel that we are going to reach out to many more former JPTs and Cadets so it is uncertain what sort of turn up we can expect. Therefore, we are asking for indications of intention to attend from all of you who think you can make it, so we can communicate the numbers to the Crown Licensee/Kitchen Workshop Manager to aid with planning and catering.
