About Us

Who we are and what we do

Police Veterans Victoria Inc. is a not-for-profit organisation that supports Victoria Police Veterans and their families. We are the only organisation with a dedicated focus on improving mental health amongst Victoria Police Veterans and their families.

Our Veteran Peer Support Officers (VPSO’s) are police veterans who are trained to  provide confidential support and referral services to those that may be experiencing mental health issues including PTSD, depression, anxiety, social isolation, alcohol and substance abuse.

Our peer support program is unique because it operates beyond the workplace environment utilising police veterans with similar shared experiences.

We are much more than just a mental health support service, however. PVV is a hub for police veterans and their families to access community events, exclusive job opportunities and veteran discounts as well as mental health support, should they need it.

Our Vision

For all police veterans and their families to be valued and supported beyond their service.

Our Purpose

To ensure those who leave stay connected, those who leave unwell recover and those who are recovering are supported.
