When there’s a Will, there’s a better way

Don’t have a Will? Not only could you be leaving the distribution of your assets up to chance, but you may also end up causing your loved ones unnecessary expense and additional stress in an already stressful time.

If you pass away without a valid Will, your assets will be distributed in accordance with the strict laws of intestacy (a set of rules determining who shares your assets). When this happens, it is not uncommon that preferred family members and friends receive nothing. By having even a basic Will, you can make your intentions clear and reduce the potential for conflict.

Not only does having a Will reduce the likelihood of conflict, but it will also reduce the costs of administering your estate. The process of administering the estate of a person who did not have a Will is often much more complicated, time consuming and expensive. By setting out your wishes in a Will, you make the process of administering your estate much easier on your loved ones, saving them and your estate from unwanted and unnecessary expenses.

For the month of March, Denways are running a discount on their regular service for members of Police Veterans Victoria. Pictured are their discounted prices, some up to 40% off.

This applies to non-complex matters that are signed up by March 31.
